 Small Group Class (Canine): Manners

Learn how to encourage your dog to want to behave!

Six-week class series: Sunday Evening at 6:00pm, Nov 1, 2015, first class without your dog

Nov 8, 2015-Dec 13, 2015 (skip Nov 29) attend with your dog

If there is enough interest, a second class starting at 7:30pm will be offered.

Based on majority of participant needs, the curriculum may cover:

  • Basic manners, foundation training, helping your dog be attentive and mannered around town and in the veterinarian’s office.
    • Training for the REAL WORLD
    • Focus on the handler/trainer
    • Relaxation techniques
    • Go to a mat
    • Play behaviors
    • Sit and down upon request
    • Recall: Come when called
    • Wait or Hold position
    • Leave It / Drop It
    • Best practices for rewarding your dog
    • Sitting politely for petting
    • Walking on a loose lead and past distractions
    • Calm acceptance of another dog or a distraction in the area
    • Exercises from the Obstacles and Agility Class

All pet-friendly training.  Exercises may be modified to help you and your dog to meet your goals using science-based instruction.

Limited to 4 dog/handler teams for each class.  Lots of personal attention from a certified professional dog training instructor.  Reduced distractions to help your dog concentrate in group classes.

$105 new students; $100 continuing class fee for each 6 week session group series
