Success Stories

Ziggy Stardust:

I went ahead and attached some photos, but it looks like Ziggy Star- Buddy-boy is going to adapt just fine to domestic life here at the cabin. He didn’t even mind the car ride to his new home (once he was fully in the vehicle that is)! Thank you all again for my new best friend 🙂
Lots of love from,
Ziggy Star and Sally

Thomas:

At the beach! He’s doing wonderful!

Lucy:

Hi everyone!

I wanted to let you all know that River (now Lucy) is healthy, safe and doing fantastic in her new home.

I apologize it has taken so long to send this update but Lucy is loving life and we are loving her! We are busy adjusting and making time for everyone, but Lucy is doing great and just wants to be along for the fun!

She listens so well, takes long walks on a leash beautifully with the family (and toddler in stroller!), still loves fetch and belly rubs and her squeaky toys, and plays so nicely with other neighborhood and family dogs.  We are amazed at her knowledge of sit, stay, lay down, wait, down and (when she feels inclined, haha) come here!
She is quickly learning ‘off’, leave it and drop, especially when it comes to people food & playing with her human little brother, with whom she is SO gentle and sweet.

Thank you for all of the love you put into her while caring for her and for bringing us together with the perfect dog for our family!! We sincerely hope that all of your pets & families in the future are as happy as we are! Thank you again!

Andy:

Dear RHSPCA Staff,

Thanks so much for the awesome experience becoming a cat-mom thrrough the RHSPCA!! Jack Sparrow, now named Andy, has made himself right at home, and my special-needs daughter and I can’t remember what life was like without him! Since adopting him, my daughter has made HUGE strides in her speech development, and I only have you guys, and our sweet Andy to thank. To hear your 3 1/2 year old speak her first intelligible sentances, when previously she’s only been capeable of short prases is a magical thing! She loves to tell me what Andy is doing, or if he’s ‘being trouble’, and wants him to sleep in her bed every night. Just like my daughter, Andy is full of life and loves to play. He was the perfect match for us, and hasn’t stopped purring since I brought him home on the 2nd.

Thanks so much for the wonderful work all your staff does!
